alawonn

SIL Open Font License 1.1 npm 1.0.0

Our typeface for big type: headings, names, a short line on a poster. The letters are round and carved, with a cursive swing, and many are made of separate strokes with small gaps between them.

It's free to use anywhere, paid work included. It covers most European languages, and you can install it on your computer or load it on a website.

In the demo you can type your own words and look through every character.

Use it

pnpm add alawonn-font

Import it once, where your app starts or in its root layout, then use the family in your CSS:

import "alawonn-font";
h1 {
  font-family: "Alawonn", cursive;
}

It works the same way in React, Vue, Svelte, Astro and Next.js. In Nuxt, add "alawonn-font" to css in nuxt.config.ts. In React Native, load the TTF with expo-font.

No build step? Link the stylesheet from a CDN:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/alawonn-font@1.0.0/css/alawonn.css">

The README has the steps for each framework and for desktop apps. Use the font wherever you like. The Alawonn name and trademarks stay ours.
